The Interview Overview
Tell us a little about yourself.
"I am Muhammadjon Nazarov. Currently, I am studying for my Master’s Degree in International Management and Information Systems Program at South Westphalia University of Applied Sciences. For the last couple of weeks, I have participated in several job interviews in the Web Development sphere."
What are the approximate daily expenses for a student in Germany?
"A student’s monthly expenses in Germany typically range from €800 to €1,200:
Rent: €300 - €600 for shared apartments/student dorms, or €500 - €900 for private apartments in larger cities like Munich or Frankfurt
Food: €150 to €250 per month
Insurance: €130
Transport: €100 - €200
Additionally: €100 - €200."
What challenges did you face during the application process and while living in Germany?
"International students in Germany often face challenges such as navigating a complicated application process, dealing with visa and immigration requirements, and managing language barriers. Many universities require documents in German or English, and understanding specific admissions criteria can be confusing. Securing a student visa can also be a long and stressful process."
What other challenges did you face during the application process and while living in Germany?
"Finding affordable housing is another major issue, particularly in large cities where demand is high. Students also need to manage living expenses, health insurance, and tuition fees, which can create financial pressure. Additionally, adjusting to a new culture, understanding local bureaucratic processes, and adapting to German social norms can be difficult for many international students."
What advice would you give to people who also want to apply for the DAAD scholarship?
I highly recommend starting the process early, as the process requires several important documents like transcripts, recommendation letters, and a motivation letter.
Research the program thoroughly to ensure it aligns with your academic background and goals, and tailor your application accordingly.
A strong motivation letter is crucial, outlining your academic achievements, career goals, and how the scholarship fits into your plans.
Why did you choose to apply through Globstudy rather than independently?
"I felt the need to cooperate with a person who was previously awarded the DAAD Scholarship. The application process and documentation require paying attention to details, especially writing a well-reasoned Motivation Letter and choosing the study programs. I met Sardor Allayarov, a team member of Globstudy and the DAAD ERP 2022 Scholarship holder, and then decided to get the help of the Globstudy team in the application process. They helped a lot in choosing the right study programs, refining my motivation letters, and preparing for the final interview."
“A huge thanks to Sardor Allayarov and the Globstudy Team for their invaluable support throughout the application process. Their advice and guidance were instrumental in helping me become a DAAD ERP 2023 Scholarship holder."
